Hi, I'm Karen.

I've been traveling most of my adult life, and somewhere along the way, the way I travel changed. What started as a hunger to see as much as possible gradually became something slower, more deliberate. Less itinerary, more atmosphere.

In 2018, I turned that shift into Passport in Photos, a journal for the intentionally curious traveler. Based in New York City, I write about day trips, quiet escapes, and immersive journeys abroad — always with original photography, personal perspective, and places worth lingering in.

I'm also a marketing strategist with over 20 years of experience at media brands including NBCUniversal, Los Angeles Times, and VICE Media Group, which means I bring both a storyteller's eye and a real understanding of audience to everything I create.

My work has been trusted by brands including Incase, Level8, Marriott, and Morromico. If you're a brand, property, or tourism board looking for a collaborator with editorial integrity and marketing instincts, I'd love to hear from you.
